TG! magazine, while new, has an interesting history. The magazine actually began in early 2006 and was given wings by Brandi Lee and Stephanie Murphy, two Catholic women from the Midwest. It was their vision to make True Girl a wholesome resource for young Catholic women.

One day a friend asked for a suggestion for a good magazine for his teenage daughter. I told him about True Girl magazine. Imagine my surprise when within a week I found out that no more issues were going to be published. A woman suggested that 'someone else' contact the editor to see about publishing them again. So I did.

I went to their website and contacted the editor. When Brandi responded, she told me that I contacted her on the very day that her email was being disabled! Talk about Divine Intervention!

Brandi and I exchanged ideas for a little while and came to an agreement early in 2008. Unfortunately, during this time we discovered that the name True Girl had been trademarked by someone else. So, we had to change the name and the logo. Hence the new name: TG! magazine!

My name is Heather Gaffney and my family lives in Maryland. I am grateful that God has blessed me with this opportunity and I pray that God will work through me to spread His word. Today's young women need positive role models in their lives and I hope to gather an incredible group of women to be that for our ladies.
