I have watched all of the movies, except for Mansfield Park. I still haven't gotten around to reading my Jane Austen book (yeah, for 2 or 3 years), but I plan to read it this summer for our library's Summer Reading Program. That's where if you read 28 hours, you get 16 tickets to put towards prizes that you want.

I just love Jane Austen. I went to a dance last Sunday that taught me how to dance like they do on Pride and Prejudice. It was so fun! A great way to get to know some other homeschoolers.

Is there a Northanger Abbey?!?!?!?!? Really. We have a really old copy of BBC Persuasion, but we don't have Mansfield Park or Northanger Abbey (considering I haven't even heard of it).

I haven't read any but I plan on doing so. I watched Emma, Pride and Prejudice (that's my fave too!), and Sense and Sensibility. I was going to volunteer at the library this summer but we aren't really sure about our summer schedule so I'm not. well maybe I can join the teen advisory group at the library...

I love the movie emma and I love the character. I didn't think she was snotty, she's my favorite of JAne Austen's characters (well i do really like elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice)
She's independent and funny and i thought she was wonderful. I saw the Gweneth Paltrow Version and I thought it was great.

man, i havent been on in forever, i got on to see what was up with the mag. but anyways, i think my favorite jane austen is persuasion. i love anne, and its a good book for laughs. its so melodramatic. i have the book on my ipod, and i listen to it over and over. lol. i love maragaret too! have u seen the new sense and sensibility? i think ive watched it over 100 times :p emma drives me crazy somtimes... but i dunno something about harriet annoys the heck out of me, maybe its because in the bbc movie, she has really crooked teeth...taht's a stupid reason, but she seems kinda shallow and naive to me... jane austen's short stories from when she was younger are hilarious...she is pretty much making fun of love. they are crazy melodramatic...and u cant take it seriously (she meant for it to be that way) love and friendship is the specific one im talking about...but anyways...this is getting to be really long.

harriet is easily persuded and naive and Emma is rather shallow and that makes for a bad combination, part of the reason for Emma being so shallow is the times part of it is just Emma being crazy Emma.
I dont understand,Margaret is just barely mentioned the story revolves around Marianne and Elinor, they after they leave I dont think Margaret is mentioned at all except it might be mentioned that she stayed behind when the mother came when Marianne was sick.is their something in the movies that isant true to the books?
