This thread is for Harry Potter fans to talk about all things Harry Potter. This is not a place for Harry haters......another thread can be made to discuss things like that. This is a place for fans to discuss anything Potter related...but only appropriate stuff please.

Soo...I've been planning my costume for the midnight premiere. I'm going as Bellatrix.....I am SOOO excited.

I can't go at midnight...ugg!!
Bellatrix is such a good idea! This might sound weird but one of my favorite parts of the series is when Mrs. Weasley duels Bellatrix. Go moms!

I don't understand why some people have problems with Hary Potter....I find so much substance in them that I can relate to my life and they are filled with christian themes. Harry's goodness and pureness. The values and importance of family and friends. I think the reason the series is so popular in our very secular world is becasue people want these things so much. They are attracted to the goodness in the series. Some people automatically assume that becasue they're popular, that the series is bad and never think that maybe its becasue its so good.
ok sorry for my ramblings but the Harry Potter books are probably my favorite books...well definetely in the top 10.

I've never read Harry Potter, and I've only seen the movie Harry Potter 5. I think the reason people have problems with it is because there's witchcraft. That's pretty much it.

I just rewatched the 5th Harry Potter movie yesterday, it reminds me of our country right now soo much. IT's probably the best movie, even though it's not the most faithful adaption.

That's okay Sunnyflower...but remember this is for fans. I'm fine if you disagree with them ,but another thread could be created to debate it. This thread is for fans to discuss the books, now if you have a question like
Is it true that Harry worhsips the devil? Then go right ahead. And in case you were wondering Harry does not worship the devil.

I am sooooo disapointed that my tiny town doesn't have a midnight premire. I can't wait to see it, though. :) I am crocheting a Gryfindor scarf for my brother. Unfortunately it won't be done for the movie but it will for his birthday.

If it's the vatican I'll find that very interesting. Plus that'll annoy a lot of people. :P

Now if it's the movie review system on the bishops page I don't trust that. They say lots of things are good when they aren't

Here's my mom's blogpost about it, even if she didn't go.

I haven't seen anything yet but isn't that who Charlie marries....or whicever Weasley it is. Sorry I'm a bit brain dead right now, I've been writing a fanfiction during Harry's father's time so my brain is on that part of storytelling.

I was disapointed that they cut out all Bill/Fluer and Tonks/Remus stuff... it was in the 6th that most of that happened, right? I need to go back and re-read the books.

I loved it! When I was younger I had this impression that HP was this really dark series, but it turned out to be wrong!
Now for the second book :D

I'm so glad you liked it....and the books just keep getting better....each one is better than the previous one.
ok my favorite topics that are discussed in the first book are
friendship- How harry, ron and hermione look out for each other
love- i like how Harry finally finds some love in his life with dumbledore, hagrid, ron and hermione
bravery- to me Harry epitomizes what bravery is
I also like how funny the books are! Fred and George are great!
Who is/are your favorite character(s)??
