relientkrocks 666 posts Jul 19, 2009 6:49 PM	I just came back from an MI retreat! Is anyone else in the MI (Militia Immaculata)? This is my 2nd year going to the retreat. I was consecrated to Mary last year. It was a lot of fun (talks, daily Mass, and lots of laughts) and rekindled my devotion to Jesus and Mary. really influential. Anyway, the MI was founded by St. Maxmillian Kolbe and is about consecrating yourself to Mary and letting her bring you closer to Jesus. Fashionista 1030 posts Jul 20, 2009 7:26 PM	I am,I have been for a few years now but I can't remember how many. I didnt do it through the youth one. I didnt know they had retreats. next year I'm going to look into lots of stuff like that cause I have been sooooooooooooooooo board during the last several days.its horrible I have nothing to do.so next year I'll look inot diffrent retreats and things like this.the thing is I never hear about anything.it stinks cause I would have loved to go to something like that. ---------- I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.~Michelangelo

relientkrocks 744 posts Aug 20, 2009 8:23 PM	oh yeah! I completely forgot that! I went to MI Village today, which is the monthly MI gathering. It was fun, but I was an hour late so I wasn't really there for the spiritual stuff XD We played outside, had snacks, and prayed in the chapel. It's really cool because they have this HUGE monstrance there. I think it's amazing how the Eucharist actually is Jesus, and He's physically present right then and there. The other thing I think is amazing is that since the monstrance was put in the chapel, there have been people adoring the Eucharist all the time. (Obviously cuz I live in michigan, haha) But those retreats sound awesome!! Fashionista 1194 posts Sep 25, 2009 7:38 PM	I know I want to I just have to see were they are cause if it it to far then I would have to pay to go myself and I have to save my money:( I'll have to see, hopefully it will work out fine. I know it is a little of subject but on the subject of retreats, my friend who went to that retreat came back inspired to go to daily mass every day in the morning,I'd like to but I don not really enjoy waking up at 6:00 everyday, however I am now contemplating, I'd have to go to bed at 10:00 which would be really very hard due to my being a night owl but it's worth a try, I would have to get ready fast, althought I geuss I can be fast if I want.
